Claudia Scarsella Solo Exhibition
A Solo Exhibition by Italian artist Claudia Scarsella held at Art Factum Gallery
June 25 th - July 26 th 2014
Italian artist Claudia Scarsella expresses her art through collages, both traditional and digital. She puts together drawings and photos, those too made by herself, hand-drawn and graphic weaves, striking emotional iridescent visualities. Each collage is conceived to be replicated as a pattern, thus each work has a natural extension as a wallpaper, textile or ceramic. Her collages are layers of history, blended and sculpted emotions. They narrate sentiments with grace, lend order to passion, fantastic powers gathered within a frame. Designing the repetitive pattern means creating a disciplined dance: it means, through art, creating worlds.
Claudia talks about the arrangement and the works of the exhibition she's setting up: "I envisage this show as a romantic encounter between myself and the Middle East; I'm absorbing, filtering, sewing what I see in an interior panorama of precise composition and geometry. It's the map of an immobile butterfly."
